Where are the Candidates – October 25th
October 25, 2008 at 10:47 am (Where are they?) (Barack Obama, Indiana, Iowa, Jill Biden, Joe Biden, John McCain, Nevada, New Mexico, Sarah Palin, Virginia)
There are ten days left on this election cycle as the candidates are heading to different parts of the country today, hoping to shift a state over to their side. Let’s take a look at where they’ll be heading to.
Senator Barack Obama: Senator Obama will be returning to the trail today for the first time since Thursday after spending some time with his grandmother in Hawaii. He’ll make his first stop in Reno, Nevada, a state that is leaning towards Senator Obama, but is considered one of the battleground states where this election will be won. Then, he’ll head to Las Vegas, Nevada for another rally. After that, he’ll be heading down to Albuquerque, New Mexico for a rally in the evening.
Senator John McCain: Senator McCain will be spending his day in New Mexico as well, starting off in Albuquerque, New Mexico with a rally being held in the morning. From there, he will be heading to Mesilla, New Mexico for another rally in the afternoon, the same time that Senator Obama will be holding his rally in Albuquerque. New Mexico is considered to be firmly in Senator Obama’s grasp.
Senator Joe Biden: Senator Biden’s schedule is a light one as he will be in Suffolk, Virginia where he will be attending a rally at Nansemond River High School in the morning. Virginia is one of the hotly contested states in this race.
Governor Sarah Palin: The Governor from Alaska will be spending her day in Iowa and Indiana. In the morning, she’ll be in Sioux City, Indiana before heading over to Des Moines, Iowa for another rally there. Iowa is currentl leaning towards Senator Obama although the McCain camp is hoping to pull it into their grasp. From there, she’ll be heading to Indiana, a battleground state, where she’ll be attending a rally in Indiana.
In another note, Jill Biden will be spending her day in Florida, with rallies in Orlando, Lakeland, and Tampa, going across the I-4 corridor much like Senator McCain did a few days ago.
Where are the Candidates Today? – October 24th
October 24, 2008 at 1:45 pm (Where are they?) (Barack Obama, Joe Biden, John McCain, Michelle Obama, Sarah Palin)
The days continue to tick down towards November 4th, and the pressure has never been higher for those running in the Presidential race. Fights and battles are being waged currently in different battleground states, and this is what’s happening today.
Senator Barack Obama: Senator Obama is currently in Hawaii, visiting his ailing grandmother. There are no public events scheduled for the Senator form Illinois, and his next even is scheduled to take place on Saturday. His wife, Michelle, will be in Columbus and Akron, Ohio, where he was scheduled to be at today.
Senator Joe Biden: Senator Biden will be holding a rally in Charlestona, West Virginia. Yesterday, CNN released the first Poll of Polls yesterday, showing that the state is virtually tied and has turned the state into a battleground, one that the Democrats seem keen to fight for after losing it in the past two elections to President Bush. From there, Senator Biden will be heading to Martinsville and Danville, Virginia.
Senator John McCain: Senator McCain will be spending his day in Colorado, a state that Senator Obama is currently leading by 6 points. The McCain campaign seems to be split on Colorado as some are admitting defeat while others believe they can still win the state. He will be holding rallies in Denver, Colorado Springs, and Durango.
Governor Sarah Palin: Governor Palin will start her day off in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, where she will give a speech before heading to Missouri. There, she will be holding a rally at Missouri State University and then will dropping the puck at an NHL game. This is the second time she has done so. After the rally, she’ll be giving a deposition along with her husband to the Alaska Personnel Board. This deposition is to aide an investigation into whether or not Governor Palin unfairly fired the state’s public safety director, which she has denied doing anything wrong.
Where are the Candidates Today? – October 23rd
October 23, 2008 at 8:54 am (Where are they?) (Barack Obama, Joe Biden, John McCain, Sarah Palin)
Senator John McCain: Senator McCain will be pushing through Florida today, travelling through Ormond Beach (you can watch his rally like at CNN right now), and then going through Daytona Beach, Altamonte Springs, Plant City, and Sarasota. Senator McCain is trying to make a strong push that has voted Republican under President Bush as polls are showing that Senator Obama is leading 49% to 46% as of October 15th. Senator Obama was here just a few days ago with Senator Clinton in a rally that over 40,000 people attended. I imagine that Senator McCain and Senator Obama will be making another pass through Central Florida as many political pundits are saying this is where Florida will be won.
Senator Barack Obama: Senator Obama will be in Indianapolis, Indiana today meeting with different voters. Then, afterwards, he will be heading to his ailing grandmother in Hawaii with the rest of his events cancelled today and tomorrow. His wife, Michelle Obama, will be filling in for him at those events in Wisconsin. Indiana is a state that’s only voted for a Democratic President once over the past seventy years, but recently it’s been in play due to Senator Obama’s ability to make inroads with the people in Indiana. Currently, Senator McCain holds a lead over him at 51% to 46% as of October 6th.
Senator Joe Biden: Senator Biden will be heading to North Carolina for the day. North Carolina is another state that has typically gone Republican, but once again the Democrats are making up ground in this state as Senator McCain is behing Senator Obama 51% to 47%. Senator Biden will be attending rallies at universities and colleges in Charlotte, Winston-Salem, and Raleigh.
Governor Sarah Palin: The Governor of Alaska will be holding a rally today in Troy, Ohio. Keeping with the polling information, Senator Obama is leading in Ohio 51% to 47% in a race for one of the most contested states this election cycle. Governor Palin will then be heading to Beaver, Pennsylvania as the McCain Campaign continues to pour resources into this state after leaving Michigan.
