Discuss: Will Senator McCain Make a Comeback?

November 1, 2008 at 2:03 pm (Discussion) (, )

Polls recently have shown that a McCain comeback is highly possible, and the Senator’s campaign is saying that America will watch the greatest comeback ever when Senator McCain wins on Tuesday evening. However, state polls and the electoral maps have shown that Senator McCain would need to make some serious dents in certain states as most electoral maps out there right now show Senator Obama already “clinching” victory. Do you think Senator McCain will stage the greatest comeback ever?

Discuss: The Negativity of the 2008 Presidential Election Cycle

October 31, 2008 at 2:38 pm (Discussion) (, , )

As of late, attacks have come fast and furious from both sides of the fence, Republicans accusing Senator Obama of “palling” around with terrorists William Ayers and Rashid Khalidi, and that if Senator Obama is elected into office then there’s almost a certainty that this country will be attacked. The Democrats haven’t been as bold in their assertions of Senator McCain, but they’ve also done their fair share of negative campaigning as of late. Polls show that people don’t like the negative campaignin and that Senator McCain has done more attacking then Senator Obama. How has the negative campaigning affected you? Are you a fan of it or against it? Who do you feel has been more negative throughout this election cycle, Senator Obama or Senator McCain? Have you changed your vote because of the negative campaigning?

Discuss: Was the Ashley Todd Story Racially Driven?

The story has dominated blogs and has been mentioned on CNN, Fox News, and the other major news channels. What was thought to originally be an attacking because of her stance on McCain has turned into what some are claiming to be race-biting by the McCain Campaign and Ashley Todd. So, I put the question to you. Was this racially driven? Did Ashley Todd go through with this in attempt to stoke the embers of race? Do you think anyone in the McCain campaign was involved?

Feel free to comment on those questions! No registration is required to comment on here, just your first name and email address.

Small Blog News: What was planned for tonight in another analysis of the national and state polls will be delayed to tomorrow morning. There have been some polls coming out about race and early voting that I want to drill into. Also, a major update on the Electoral College was announced this evening as NBC has said that Obama has “clinched” the race after getting 270 electoral votes on their map.

Discuss: How is the Economy Affecting You?

October 24, 2008 at 10:03 am (Discussion) (, )

This morning, stocks tumbled 400 points on the stock market. The harder part is the fact that other markets are tumbling as well with Japan finishing nearly ten points down, France and Germany ending eight points down, and London down 7 points. With the increasing tension in the Stock Market, consumers will continue to put the economy as their #1 issue, something that’s benefitted Senator Obama greatly. The question I’m posing to anyone who’s reading this today is this:

How is the economy affecting you? Is it affecting who you’re going to vote for? Who do you think will be able to best solve the economic crisis we’re all facing?

I will be turning off registration for comments, so feel free to leave your thoughts. Try to leave at least your first name though.
